It’s really been over a year since Episode 23, hasn’t it… That is a damn shame, and will hopefully be rectified with a more consistent schedule soon. Hopefully I haven’t lost too many of you listeners.

A new episode! And as promised it’s delivered on Friday. Hey, it’s still Friday here in the US Mountain Timezone, GMT -7. That’s good enough for me.
This story clocks in around twenty minutes in length, and is set in the World of Heroes. It features Test Data, an electronic hero, and his brother. Enjoy! And visit AlterniaComics.com if you want more information about the World of Heroes, or just more stories set in the worlds of Alternia.

I’m currently in the process of moving from Portland, Oregon back to my old stomping grounds near Denver, Colorado. My recording gear is currently in a box amid a stack of similar boxes in my kitchen, waiting to be loaded on to a truck and driven a thousand or so miles.
I should be in Denver on the 25th if all goes well, and should have things unpacked soon after. Never fear, though, for my writing resources are relatively unpacked (and more coalesced than ever!) as they’re all together in a single briefcase. And in electronic form on my laptop. So while I may not be recording, I am still writing and should have stuff to release soon. ish. hopefully.

Two short stories of the Mystic Frontiers this week, both focusing on a subset of humans called the Khelds, specifically on the O’Connor clan.

A long while ago, Alarin and I sat down to talk about his cats, his sisters, Cathy Travis, The Bards of Subterra, and The Jabberwock.
We invite you to listen in.
*SPOILER ALERT*
As with all Character Focus episodes, this contains spoilers for plot elements that may or may not have been published either in this feed or at the Alternia LiveJournal community.

Hello to all the theoretical people from One Eighteen: Migration! This episode is not a typical episode. If you go back in the feed or check the Categories over there on the right, you can hear some of the other things you’ll find here: mostly fiction.
It’s been far too long since I’ve posted any new fiction here (or anywhere, really) and all the stories I have almost-finished are a) not finished, and b) too long to finish quickly and post tonight.
Given that, I figured I’d start something new, officially. Alarin has done something similar, posting unfinished bits of story to have a record of it, but it hasn’t had its own category…
This is a scene that’s been bouncing around my head for months, and is actually the reason I decided to tie The Wayferer in with Hammer & Axe & Anne.
Inspired by the Heather Alexander tune “Healing Chant” off the Merlin’s Descendants album.
It contains spoilers for what will happen to my Mystic Frontiers gang (Hammer, Axe, Wayfarer) so don’t read it if you don’t want spoilers for something that will be in a longer story sometime between “soon” and “later.”
Also, there’s singing.

It’s finally here!
Another rambling chat between Karak and Alarin with some semblance of an outline. We keep veering off to talk about DC comics though.
The editing on this one is sub par. I apologize for that, but decided to put it up anyway because I know if I didn’t, it would sit on my hard drive for another month before I got back to it.
I’ll try to get the next Character Focus out next week.
And speaking of next week, Friday, April 4, I’m going to be at the downtown Barnes and Noble for Scott Sigler‘s INFECTED book signing. If you’re there, feel free to say hi. I’ll be the guy in the bowler (possibly a fedora if the bowler doesn’t arrive on time) with a victorian beard style

Really, I promise!
The short excuse is episodes have been recorded, but I’ve been alternately too busy or too sick to edit them.

This is a story called Without Time. It started as a story that would introduce the character Tempo, and introduce readers to the World of Heroes and First Line in general. This was my second take at Tempo’s origin, and I’m still not happy with it.. and realized during final edit this story retcons some of White Blur’s history, but not in a huge way.
In case you missed it, here’s a link to Episode 20, since it’s a few posts back…

I apologize for taking over two months to get a new story episode out. I’ve started a daily audio blog, so hopefully that’ll get me back in the podcasting swing and get episodes out more regularly.
